Promarkers from Letraset, though for this pic I also used colored pencils and some kind of charcoal colors I always use markers, but it varies a little of what other drawing and coloring equipment I use
Thank you Lol, part of the shading of the rock was actually done with a marker called 'gold' At first I was a bit skeptic to the tape and blue arms, but I'm starting to warm up to this design (Doubt I'll ever get used to Muscles the Echidna though )
For the most part, the designs are pretty cool. People talk about the colour of Sonic's arms, yet no one has said anything about his footwear. Sonic's striped red sneakers are an important part of his iconography, where did they go? Pfft, Those legs are looong and make him look kind of gangly when he runs
You're not alone with Muscles. With that build, he's certainly not the fast, agile and high flying Echidna I know and love. It's like what happened to Godzilla's design in the 1998 movie, many fans rejected it and couldn't accept it was Godzilla. So they called it Zilla! In this case, Knuckles is Muscles
The sports tape kinda qualifies as white stripes I guess In any case I still prefer Modern over Boom, but Sonic is Sonic and it's not like my style of drawing him looks exactly like any of his official designs. Besides, there's a lot of artists I admire here with very unique and different versions of the blue hedgie In the end I guess you could put it as simple as 'I love him no matter what'
Yeah, that redesign was a bit too drastic Looks more like a relative of Knuckles I just really hope he can't fly looking like that; that would look downright silly Really? The 1998 version is the only version I've watched and I loved it... Though I'll admit I wasn't too thrilled hearing about that new Godzilla movie coming
I guess, but anymore sports tape and his mummification will be complete Yeah, he's the same old hedgehog we all know and love
As for Knuckles, well what can I say, he already looks downright silly. What have they done to my Knux?! From what I gathered, he can climb, but he can't glide
Although I faintly recall watching Godzilla Vs Gigan when I was very young, I never was a fan of Godzilla to start with. So I also found the 1998 movie to be quite enjoyable. After catching a glimpse of the new monster, it looks more faithful to the original Japanese Godzilla design. I think I'll see it when it hits cinemas in the UK. I wonder if he'll just reak havok in the movie, or if he'll fight another classic monster like Mothra or King Ghidora. Hmm, I'm intrigued
Hehe, yeah His personality seems to be unchanged so far based on what I've seen on the trailer, making it easier to accept the new style
From what I've heard, there's no emeralds in SB. Sooo Knux isn't even a guardian nor treasure hunter anymore? And he doesn't look like himself either...ehm...his personality better be spot on or I doubt no one will ever truly accept him as Knuckles. If I recall correctly you're a Knuckles fan? You have my sympathies
Oh well, if it gets good reviews I might give the new Godzilla movie a chance. I just hope they focus on an actual story and give the big lizard some personality like the last one and don't just focus on epic looking scenes of destruction and monster fighting
I'm glad they haven't meddled with Soniku much, though I hear he's not quite as pretentious as he has been in recent games. Yes, the loss of Knuckles is tragic. His new design is only for the Boom ark though, so not all is bad
The last film was cool, it was a good monster flick. However the monster wasn't really Godzilla and it looks like the design was inspired by the Rex in Jurassic Park. It appears the latest effort more closely resembles Toho's Bear like Godzilla. He's an unstoppable force of nature. He's a physical manifestation of mass destruction brought on by the Hiroshima bomb. I mean, it's GOJIRA!
I actually found it sad that Godzilla was killed by the air force in the last film, that never happens in a Godzilla movie. He usually swats aircraft out of the sky like toys and obliterates armies with his atomic breath. Human intervention is always feeble and futile. One thing I have learned is he's actually going to fight other monsters This is important because in a Godzilla movie, the only thing that can beat Godzilla is another Monster. Of course it's important to actually have a story to tie everything together. But the thing is, fans like Godzilla so fondly because they remember how fun and cheesy the classic films were. I hope it hasn't been dumbed down too much for western tastes. I would like to experience a true Godzilla movie, even if it's a little stupid
